Vaguely consulted wikipedia for some 1880s/1890s fashion bits, as well as a University of Vermont site, that had some nice summarized blurbs with photos.

The photographs Kimber's been looking at, I've been making up as I go. (Though that one yesterday about the old hotel is vaguely based off a photo of a place in Laona, NY - I'm pretty sure a Fredonia history book I have has a photo of a hotel that's now abandoned. The description of it in its derelict state, I drew from my own bikeride one afternoon - I'm not positive it was the old hotel, but something in that photo always reminds me of that afternoon.)

But Evelyn's outfit is loosely based on this one - though I'm sure she'd be wearing different colors. :)


In other news - I'm only like 800 words behind! I'd catch up more, but dinner ran a little late, and the husband is now sleepy. So am I, come to think of it, it's been a ridiculous couple of days.
